New Guidance on Producing Virtual & Hybrid Events

Last month, we wrote about a virtual event in Asia that represented in many ways the gold standard in production for virtual investor conferences. Now, the collaborators in that event have created a guide that encapsulates the technology, techniques, tactics, and learning that came out of that event, and we want to share it with you.
The collaboration, among Grabyo, AsiaWorks, Never.no, and OpenExchange, combined state-of-the-art production, design, and platform technology into Credit Suisse’s Asian Investment Conference, which become a shining example of what a virtual event experience can be: “must-see TV.”
The guide, entitled “Producing Virtual and Hybrid Events: A Guide”, explores how to deliver virtual and hybrid events, using a combination of cloud technologies and remote production teams. It covers the benefits and challenges of delivering virtual events, including:
- increasing your audience;
- recruiting speakers, production crews, and talent from around the world;
- working with remote production teams;
- creating an immersive experience; and
- scaling your events.
The premise of the report is that hosting a virtual or hybrid event space can be managed effectively even with teams across the globe. That was certainly true with the Credit Suisse Asian Investment Conference, which involved collaborating teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York, and Boston. “The benefit of using cloud-based platforms enables your production team to manage the event from anywhere,” says the report. “There is no need to have your entire production crew on-site. Cloud solutions support events with multiple production teams, engaging technical and creative talent across different regions who can design and localize the content for specific audiences in different parts of the world.”
